Open Recruitment Extracurricular Pandekar Andalas University

Padang (23/10) - Me and Rian Habill Hamdani as my partner are going to interview one of the member from Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) or extracurricular Pandekar Andalas University (Unand), about the recruitment of this extracurricular. Our interviewee is Suheltya, she is the committee of Pandekar open recruitment (OR).

Before we talking about the OR it self, we need to know what is extracurricular Pandekar. Suhetlya or as known as tya, explained that Pandekar is not just an extracurricular, but also an organization who focused on martial arts. She added that as like any other organization, this extracurricular also do a recruitment to keep the organization alive, and that is the purpose for this OR.

The grand opening of the open recruitment was held on October 14, and it will take time around five weeks. During that OR, tya said that the participants will do some exercises, learn about the organization, and also physics training. The participants at least need to attend the OR four times in a week. All of these activities will take place in Unand.

Tya also told us that the enthusiasm from the OR participants is exceeded her expectations. There are total 100 participants that joined the OR while her expectation is only 80. She also explained why we need to join this extracurricular. She said “martial arts, especially practical martial arts, is useful to defend our self from an unexpected situations”.
